How to get there

Travel to Mumcular is easiest from Guvercinlik, Torba, and Bodrum. The smoothest road is via Guvercinlik, as the routes from Bodrum and Torba are more rustic, with old and winding roads. From Guverncinlik, the journey is 18 miles (30 kilometers) and takes around 40 minutes. Due to its remote location, Mumcular is also a great day-tour option for holidaymakers in Bodrum. Mumcular is 17 miles (28 kilometers) from Milas-Bodrum Airport.

When to get there

The best time to visit Mumcular is from April to June or from September to October. In these months, you can avoid the peak tourist season and enjoy the temperate Mediterranean weather without the crowds. The average temperature in these months is around 73°F (23°C), which is perfect for exploring all that the area around Bodrum has to offer. Whether you're interested in sightseeing, outdoor adventures, or simply relaxing by the beach on the coast, spring and autumn offer ideal weather.

Handicrafts up close

The weaving mills of Mumcular are famous in Europe. Here, handmade carpets made in the area are transported to Milas, Bodrum, and Istanbul for export.
