Nostalgia Box
69 Plaistowe Mews, West Perth, Perth, Western Australia, 6005
Whether you’re a die-hard gamer looking to dive into the video game archives or just fancy playing some classic games from your childhood, the Nostalgia Box in West Perth, Western Australia, is your portal to the history of gaming. Featuring game consoles like the 1972 Magnavox Odyssey and Nintendo 64, this part-museum, part-arcade guarantees a good time.
The basics
Admission tickets to the Nostalgia Box include entrance to both the video game console museum and an interactive gaming area. This is the only museum of its kind in Australia, allowing visitors to browse more than 100 video game consoles dating from the 1970s through to the early 2000s and learn about the evolution of the gaming industry. Of course, the real fun is in the playing, and you can try out a wide range of retro games, including Mario Kart™, PAC-MAN, Space Invaders, and many other beloved classics.
Things to know before you go
Nostalgia Box is great fun for all ages, whether you’re reminiscing over games from your youth or introducing kids to vintage games they never had the chance to play.
Adult, child, and family tickets are available. Kids under the age of five are free. A paying adult must accompany all children under 10.
Entry numbers are limited, so advance bookings are highly recommended. You can also rent out the venue for private events and celebrations.
The museum is accessible for wheelchairs, but it's best to contact the Nostalgia Box in advance.
