SEA LIFE® Königswinter takes visitors on an undersea odyssey filled with close encounters with an astonishing variety of sea creatures. The aquarium’s 36 pools are home to more than 2,000 sea creatures of more than 120 species, from exotic fish such as surgeonfish, paddlefish, and clown fish to turtles, rays, octopus, and moray eels.
The Basics
Visitors to SEA LIFE Königswinter embark on an interactive journey in which they learn fascinating facts about the aquarium’s marine life and habitats as they see them. Walk through a 360-degree acrylic tunnel for underwater views of sharks and rays; watch morays glide and an octopus being fed in the Atlantis-themed exhibit; see clown fish and boxfish feeding time in the Tropical Reef display; and journey back to prehistoric times to observe such ancient creatures as paddlefish and alligators.

How to Get There
SEA LIFE Königswinter is situated on the banks of the river Rhine, within a short walking distance of such attractions as the regional art museum Siebengebirgsmuseum. From Bonn central station, take tram 66 to Königswinter Fähre, which is located directly in front of SEA LIFE—the journey takes around 25 minutes.
When to Get There
SEA LIFE Königswinter is open 7 days a week (except December 25), from morning until late afternoon—last entry is one hour before closing. Opening hours are typically extended during school holidays, which are its busiest times. Prebooking is advisable.
Feeding Times
The aquarium holds feeding demonstrations open to visitors every day of the week. Watching a feeding demonstration is included in the ticket price and, depending on the day, you may be able to see sharks, octopus, clown fish, or rays being fed. Check the schedule upon arrival so you don’t miss out.
