Skydive Dubai is Dubai’s only skydiving operator and boasts two of the world’s most impressive drop zones: one over the Dubai desert and the other above the Palm Jumeirah and the World Islands. Adrenaline seekers can experience a tandem skydive, take a thrilling gyrocopter flight, or even complete a solo skydiving course.
The basics
Skydive Dubai operates two different skydiving routes—the Palm Dropzone and Desert Campus—affording skydivers a choice of scenery. Buckle up for a tandem skydive accompanied by an instructor and reach speeds of almost 124 mph (200 kmph) during a 60-second freefall, jumping from a height of 13,000 feet (3,962 meters). Tandem skydive packages typically include a photo or video package with option add-ons, including an Instagram edit or selfie view photos.
Skydive Dubai also operates gyrocopter flights, gear rental and jumps for licensed skydivers, skydiving instruction and certification courses, and the Inflight Dubai indoor skydiving facility.
Things to know before you go
Tandem skydives are available to adults between 18 and 75 years; over 70s require a medical certificate. For safety reasons, there’s also a maximum weight (including clothing) and BMI.
Both Skydive Dubai locations have restrooms, a café, an outdoor viewing deck, and free Wi-Fi.
Wear comfortable, securely fitting clothing and lace-up shoes. Goggles are provided, so wearing glasses or contacts is possible.
How to get there
Skydive Dubai is located right opposite the harbor in Dubai Marina. There’s free parking on-site, but many visitors arrive by taxi or rideshare service. The closest tram station is Mina Seyahi, which is about a 10-minute walk away.
When to get there
Skydive Dubai is open daily year-round, although dives will always be subject to the weather: flights won’t operate in high wind, rain, or poor visibility. Tandem skydives typically take place in the early morning, from around 8am in winter and 6.15am in summer.
