SkyPark Observation Deck
10 Bayfront Ave, Singapore, Singapore, 018956
Perched on the 56th story of the Marina Bay Sands complex, the SkyPark Observation Deck lets non-hotel guests enjoy views from this Singapore landmark. It’s particularly dazzling in the warm night air, when Singapore’s skyline sparkles, Supertree Grove looks glitzy in pink neon, and the Esplanade’s twin durians are in full space-age mode.
The basics
Everyone over 2 years old needs a ticket to visit the SkyPark Observation Deck. It’s smart to book these online before you visit—not least because the space occasionally closes for special events. Tickets are bookable at 15-minute intervals, with discounts for daytime off-peak hours, and no limit on the amount of time you can spend on the platform. Sunset packages include a glass of champagne and dedicated seating, while there are usually special arrangements for key Singapore events, such as the New Year’s Eve fireworks.
Things to know before you go
The SkyPark Observation Deck is a good choice for photographers and Instagrammers. Professional kit, including tripods and lights, is not allowed on the deck.
Allow 30 minutes to an hour for your visit.
The SkyPark Observation Deck is fully wheelchair accessible and stroller-friendly.
How to get there
The SkyPark Observation Deck is part of the SkyPark, which caps the triple towers of the Marina Bay Sands complex on Marina Bay in the heart of Singapore. The best MRT stop is Bayfront, on the Downtown and Circle lines. Follow the signs to the SkyPark entrance from exit C or D; it’s about a 10-minute walk.
When to get there
Except when it’s booked for special events, the SkyPark Observation Deck usually opens 11am–9pm daily, with the last entry at 8:30pm. Tickets are cheaper between 11am and 4:30pm, with peak hours starting at 5pm. Sunset packages can make a magical experience, but it’s a great idea to time your visit for 8pm to catch the nightly Spectra light and water show.
Discovering the Sands SkyPark
There’s more than the SkyPark Observation Deck to Marina Bay Sands’ SkyPark, which is more than 650 feet (200 meters) high. While some areas and the rooftop pool are reserved for hotel residents, you can enjoy drinks with a view at CÉ LA VI Singapore’s dazzling terrace or LAVO Italian Restaurant & Rooftop Bar’s bar area. LAVO has a stricter dress code, but even at CÉ LA VI men must wear sleeved shirts and closed-toe shoes. Beachwear, sandals, flip-flops, and sportswear are a no for everyone.
