POINT OF INTEREST

Snow City

21 Jurong Town Hall Road, Singapore, 609433

This sub-zero indoor winter wonderland is the perfect retreat from the humidity of Singapore streets. Wander through the snow sculptures, slide down massive slopes aboard giant inner tubes, visit a traditional Inuit home, or zip around a bumper car arena made entirely of ice.

The basics

About 250,000 annual visitors know that you don’t have to travel to the Alps to experience the snow. Snow City Singapore caters to the younger set, making it an ideal stop for families looking for fun. Visitors can choose between 1- or 2-hour passes with a range of different inclusions.. Other attractions (each with its own ticket) include an outdoor climbing wall known as The Cliff and a smaller indoor climbing wall called the Indoor Boulder.

Things to know before you go

  • Admission to Snow City includes complimentary use of winter jackets and snow boots; gloves and insulated pants are available to rent.
  • Visitors are required to wear long pants and socks when visiting the facility.
  • Personal cameras are not allowed inside the snow play areas, so it’s best to leave them in your hotel.
  • Other amenities at Snow City include a snack bar, a gift shop, and a restaurant and brewery.

How to get there

Snow City is in the Jurong East neighborhood of Singapore. To get there by public transportation, take bus #68, #178, #193, or #335 to the Snow City stop, or ride the MRT to the Jurong East Station and walk for 10 minutes. Paid parking is also available.

When to get there

Snow City is open Tuesday to Sunday throughout the year, with longer hours on school and public holidays, excluding a break for Chinese New Year. It makes an excellent escape from poor weather, be that afternoon heat or a sudden downpour. The facility closes for maintenance several times throughout the year, so check the calendar ahead of time to avoid disappointment.

Singapore for Kids

Families visiting Singapore will never be short of things to do. Animal-loving kids won’t want to miss a visit to the Singapore Zoo or SEA Aquarium. When it gets hot outside, cool off at one of Singapore’s water parks, including Adventure Cove or Wild Wild Wet. By day, other family friendly attractions include Gardens by the Bay and Universal® Studios Singapore. After the sun goes down, treat the kids to the Marina Bay Sands light and water show or the Rhapsody light and sound show at Gardens by the Bay.
