SOHO Square
Sharm Al Shiekh, Egypt, 8765012
A lively shopping, dining, sports, and entertainment complex, Sharm el Sheikh’s SOHO Square offers everything from steakhouses to an ice bar. Entertainment highlights include an ice rink, a bowling alley, a performance stage, the Culturama Historical Cinema, and children’s fairground rides. It’s particularly magical at night, as strobes light up the Soho Square Dancing Fountain.
The basics
With 20 drinking and dining venues—and options ranging from a British pub to a Thai restaurant—SOHO Square is a popular evening destination. It’s an easy location for friends staying at different hotels to meet for a night out, while some travelers also visit for sports, which extend from yin and hatha yoga to squash and tennis. Many Sharm el Sheikh city tours and almost all Sharm el Sheikh shopping tours stop at SOHO Square.
Things to know before you go
SOHO Square is a good choice for shoppers, families, and anyone looking to eat international cuisine outside a hotel.
There is free Wi-Fi throughout the complex.
SOHO Square is rarely busy so you’re unlikely to need a restaurant reservation.
Much of SOHO Square is wheelchair friendly, with wheelchair-accessible bathrooms; strollers should not be an issue.
How to get there
SOHO Square is adjoined to the Savoy Sharm el Sheikh hotel, near the airport in northern Sharm el Sheikh. There’s no public transport and few visitors to Sharm self-drive. Ask your hotel about shuttle services, take a taxi, book a private driver, or walk if you’re in the nearby area. Rideshares are not available in Sharm el Sheikh.
When to get there
SOHO Square is at its liveliest in the evening; for most of the year, that’s the best time of day to beat the heat. Different venues have different opening hours, but the dancing fountain usually starts around 7pm and runs every 15 minutes until midnight.
SOHO Square with kids
SOHO Square is family-friendly and many kids will love the game zone, which has arcade machines, soft play, slides, a ball pit, a carousel, dodgem cars, and more. But kids can also practice their skills at the bowling alley, go skating in the desert at the ice rink, enjoy ice cream and juices, or learn about ancient Egypt at the Culturama Historical Cinema.
