Staged at the House of Son Amar, a beautiful 16th-century manor house near Palma, these ever-changing theatrical shows promise an unforgettable evening out. Performances range from fairy tale shows filled with spectacular effects to immersive extravaganzas of music, comedy, stunts, magic, flamenco, and ballet, Son Amar Dinner Shows are a Mallorcan institution. How to get there
The House of Son Amar sits on the Ma-11, a 20-minute drive or cab ride from Palma. Regular public buses run to and from Palma’s Intermodal Station and stop near the venue. Most ticket-holders make things easy with round-trip transfers, which leave from 30 island-wide resorts such as Alcudia, Cala d’Or, Magaluf, Cala Millor, and Palma.
When to get there
Summer shows typically run from May to October with performances on Friday and Saturday evenings. Family-oriented shows usually run from 6pm-8pm, while the later shows with pre-show experiences generally start from 9pm-10pm and end at midnight. It’s important to book ahead for all shows as they are very popular, especially during peak season.
