Perth’s principal Anglican cathedral, St. George’s Cathedral was consecrated in 1888 and sits on St. George’s Terrace in the Perth Central Business District (CBD. The red brick and limestone Gothic Revival structure is an architectural heritage landmark as well as an active church that attracts both locals and visitors.

The cathedral is open from morning to evening, with prayer services and Eucharist taking place every morning and early afternoon on weekdays and every Saturday morning (there are holiday exceptions). On Sundays, services take place in the morning and evening. Musical events such as a chamber music series and organ concerts take place throughout the year.

The cathedral is just a couple of blocks from the Swan River waterfront, so don’t miss the chance to explore Elizabeth Quay, the Bell Tower, and other attractions before or after your visit to the cathedral.
