The basics
The dairy often features on Maui farm and distillery tours, which stop here on the way to see other farms and rum, vodka, whiskey, and gin distilleries. You can also take tours organized by the farm; options include 2.5-hour grand dairy tours, casual hellos to the goats, evening "chore and milking" visits to help get the goats ready for bed, and short walks to meet one of the buck goats.
Things to know before you go
An on-site shop sells cheese, truffles, gift baskets, soaps, and other goat milk products.
Tours of the goat dairy farm last between 30 minutes and 2.5 hours.
On the "chore and milking" tour, you learn to hand milk a goat and help with evening feedings.

How to get there
The Surfing Goat Dairy is on Omaopio Road in Maui's Upcountry. The nearest towns are Pukalani and Kula, both 10–15 minutes away by car. Kula and Pukalani are connected to Kahului on public transport by the 39 bus, but driving is the fastest and easiest way to travel in this part of Maui.
When to get there
The casual tours are held four times daily between mid-morning and mid-afternoon Tuesday to Saturday. Other tours start at various times throughout the day—typically from 9am to 3:30pm—and usually require reservations. The gift shop follows normal business hours Tuesday through Saturday.
