POINT OF INTEREST

Universal Studios Florida

6000 Universal Blvd., Orlando, Florida

Go behind the scenes, beyond the screen, and jump right into the action of your favorite movies at Universal Studios Florida™, the world's premier movie and TV-based theme park. This Orlando favorite, part of Universal Orlando Resort™, offers rides, shows, movie sets, and attractions that bring to life blockbuster movies like Transformers, Despicable Me, and Harry Potter.

Universal Studios Florida is home to top Universal attractions, including the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, complete with its own rendition of Harry Potter’s Diagon Alley. Other popular attractions include the MEN IN BLACK Alien Attack, the Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit roller coaster, Race Through New York Starring Jimmy Fallon, and Despicable Me Minion Mayhem™.

Universal Studios is one of Orlando’s most popular parks, and guests have several options for visiting. Park-to-park tickets include admission to Universal’s Islands of Adventure™ and Universal’s Volcano Bay™. Single- and multiple-day options are also available. Save time with a Universal Express Pass, which includes skip-the-line access to major rides.

Universal Studios Florida tours are available as part of the VIP Experience. This guided tour provides visitors with an exclusive, behind-the-scenes experience. It’s a good way to learn about the park's inner workings and skip ride lines.

  • Universal Studios Florida is a must-see for families with kids and movie buffs.

  • Don’t forget to bring sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses.

  • Wear comfortable shoes and be prepared for a fair amount of walking.

  • Single and double strollers are available for rent at the entrance to Universal Studios Florida.

  • Buy your Universal Studios Florida tickets or VIP tours in advance to avoid waiting in line at the entrance gate.

If you’re coming by car, take I-4 to Universal Studios and follow the signs to the parking areas. To reach the park, you’ll need to walk through Universal Citywalk, a free shopping and food plaza. If you have a park-to-park ticket, you can also access Universal Studios Florida via the Hogwarts Express, which connects the park to Islands of Adventure.

To avoid the biggest crowds, plan your visit when schools are in session. Spring break, summer vacation, and the winter holidays can get very busy. Since many of Universal Studios’ attractions are indoors, it’s one of Orlando’s best rainy-day parks.

If the park’s regular lineup of entertainment isn’t enough, visit during one of several special events throughout the year. Halloween Horror Nights are among the most popular, transforming the park into a series of mazes and haunted houses geared toward adults. Mardi Gras at Universal Orlando in February is another adult favorite. The Macy’s Holiday Parade is a more kid-friendly affair and runs throughout the holiday season.

Tickets to Universal Studios Florida vary depending on the time of year and package you’ve selected. One-day entry to one of the three parks costs more than US$100 for an adult, with similar prices for children. Multi-day packages and those including admission to all three parks cost more.

That depends. If you visit just one of Universal Studios Florida’s three parks for one day, you will pay a minimum rate of US$109. Multi-park single-day passes cost more than US$160, at minimum. Tickets are cheaper if you buy them in advance online versus at the park.

There are several admission options for Universal Studios Florida. The most basic option, single-park 1-day entry, lets you visit one of three on-site parks (Universal Studios Florida, Universal’s Islands of Adventure, and Universal’s Volcano Bay) and explore all its main rides and attractions. Multi-park passes let you visit all three.

Technically, riding the Hogwarts Express at Universal Studios Florida is free. Park tickets include admission, so you only need to pay for park entry to ride it. However, if you wish to ride the Hogwarts Express, you will need park-to-park tickets rather than single-park tickets.

Regular parking at Universal Studios Florida costs US$27. Prime Parking, which lets you park closer to the entrance, costs between US$40 and US$60, depending on the season. Prime upgrades are also available for US$23 to US$33, again depending on the time of year. Prices are generally higher during the peak summer season.

A 3-park unlimited ticket at Universal Studios Florida—also called a Park-to-Park Ticket—entitles you to freely visit the three on-site theme parks: Universal Studios Florida, Universal’s Islands of Adventure, and Universal’s Volcano Bay. One-day and multi-day passes are also available and can be convenient depending on the length of your visit.
