• There are two sets of springs at Wareerak. Kinaree Hot Spring has smaller cold, warm, and hot spring pools; the Anodad Onsen has larger pools, which are all hot.
• While naturally heated, the Wareerak springs don’t have the pungent sulfur scent of many geothermal springs.
• The hot springs at Wareerak are not wheelchair-accessible. Travelers with mobility issues may need assistance to enter and exit the springs.

How to get there

Wareerak Hot Spring Spa is in Khlong Thom, about a 32-mile (51-kilometer) drive southeast of Krabi and around 7 miles (12 kilometers) from Emerald Pool (Sa Morakot). There’s no public transportation and traffic on Highway 4 is heavy, so most travelers prefer to book transfers.

When to get there

The Wareerak hot springs are open daily, although the baths close during lunch. Book well in advance if traveling during Krabi’s peak season (December–January).

Which Krabi Hot Springs Are Right for Me?

The volcanic chambers below Krabi fuel a wealth of hot springs. Some travelers opt for Namtok Ron (Hot Spring Waterfall), a natural hot waterfall in the jungle, but the falls are compact and can get very crowded. The Nattha Waree Hot Spring Resort & Spa has a series of large, artificial hot spring pools—including bathing rooms designed for travelers with disabilities—as well as fish therapy pools. Wareerak Hot Spring Spa is more intimate and wellness-focused.
