Water World Lloret
Carretera Vidreres km 1,2, Lloret de Mar, Girona, 17310
Located on the outskirts of scenic Lloret de Mar, Water World Lloret is one of Costa Brava’s top water parks. The park spans 7 acres (3 hectares) and features more than 20 aquatic attractions, from wave pools and play zones for kids to racing slides, an 820-foot (250-meter) water coaster, and an adrenaline-pumping free fall drop.
The basics
Many travelers spend the day at Water World taking advantage of the wide range of rides and slides, plus a choice of restaurants, licensed bar, and both sunny and shaded areas. Water World ticket prices vary by height, not age: Kids under 4 feet (1.2 meters) receive discounted rates, and children under 2 feet 8 inches (80 centimeters) enter for free. Height restrictions apply to some attractions.
Things to know before you go
Locker rental is available for an additional charge.
You can bring and eat your own food in dedicated picnic areas. Coolers are not allowed.
There are lifeguards on all rides but children under age 14 need adult supervision.
Bring sunscreen and swimwear for your day at Water World. T-shirts and wetsuits are not allowed.
How to get there
Water World Lloret is located outside Lloret de Mar, around an hour’s drive up the coast from Barcelona and about a 30-minute drive from Girona. In season, the park operates a paid shuttle service from Lloret de Mar, Malgrat de Mar, Calella de Costa, and Pineda de Mar, which has a train station. There’s paid parking on-site.
When to get there
Water World Lloret is open daily from late May to late September. Hours are typically 10am–7pm in July and August, with earlier closings at quieter times. Visiting midweek and earlier in the day can mean less waiting in line, although a handful of rides begin operation after the park opens.
Lloret de Mar with kids
A hugely popular European vacation destination, Lloret de Mar offers families much more to see and do than just beaches and water sports—including the Castell de Sant Joan (Sant Joan Castle) and the Maritime Museum (Museu del Mar). Gnomo Park offers playgrounds, trampolines, and a jungle gym; Sould Park has fairground-style rides for smaller children; and the Arbre Aventura Park lets kids race through the trees on a network of platforms, ziplines, and rope challenges.
