Yas Mall, Abu Dhabi’s largest shopping mall, is home to 370 stores and more than 60 dining and entertainment venues. Located on Yas Island on the fringes of the city, it offers everything from designer fashion houses to toy stores, all complemented by restaurants, a state-of-the-art multiplex cinema, and other family amusements.
The Basics
Spread over 2.5 million square feet (235,000 square meters), Yas Mall offers three levels of walkways and food courts. There are upscale boutiques, high-street brands, and beauty, sports, and electronics stores. Also on-site are a Carrefour hypermarket, a 24-screen VOX Cinema, and a wide array of family entertainment venues, restaurants, and fast-food outlets.
Though getting to Yas Mall independently from Abu Dhabi is straightforward, heading there from Dubai is easiest on a tour. Options include day trips that cover Abu Dhabi’s sights as well as time to shop, relax, and eat at the mall. Other tours combine visits to both Yas Mall and Ferrari World, or simply include photo ops outside the mall and Yas Island’s other venues.

Parking is free, plentiful, and covered, so you don’t have to walk in the hot sun.

How to Get There
Yas Mall lies on Yas Island a 30-minute drive from central Abu Dhabi using the E10 or E12 highway. From Dubai, expect a 45-minute journey via the southbound E11, followed by the E10 and E12 to Yas Island. Taxis run to Yas Mall from Abu Dhabi, and frequent Yas Express buses will whisk you there from Yas Island’s main hotels.
When to Get There
Yas Mall is open daily, from 10am to 10pm Saturday to Wednesday, and 10am to 12am Thursday and Friday. Aside from these general shopping times, the VOX Cinema is open from 10am to 12am, and the hypermarket hours are 9am to 12am. To avoid the crowds, visit during weekdays; the mall gets busy evenings and weekends.
How to Get to Ferrari World and Yas Waterworld
Yas Mall offers easy access to nearby Ferrari World and Yas Waterworld, so you can bundle them all into a day if you’re short on time. A covered walkway from the mall connects to Ferrari World, and you can catch free Yas Express buses to Yas Waterworld outside the mall entrance.
