Campground Overview

Introduction

Kettle Falls is a large, fairly wooded campground on the lake shore. All sites are open to tent campers, vehicles, and RVs. The campground is adjacent to Kettle Falls Marina (with boat launch and space for trailer parking) and nearby to Kettle Falls Day Use Area. The area is fairly well-trafficked and busy, but offers all the conveniences and amenities of nearby town of Kettle Falls.

Operating Hours

Kettle Falls Campground is open year-round. Loops 2 and 3 close from December 1 through March 31, but the remaining sites are available for reservation.

Weather

Summer weather is hot and buggy, with highs averaging in the 90s and lows in the 50s. Rain and thunderstorms can happen any time of year. In the winter, expect cold temperatures and possible snow. Temperatures can vary in spring and fall. Be prepared for many types of weather in all seasons.

Directions

From Kettle Falls, drive north on US 395. Turn left onto WA 25 south. After about ½ mile, turn right onto Old Kettle Road. At the bottom of the hill (4-way intersection), turn left onto Kettle Park Road / S Riverside Avenue. Turn right at the Kettle Falls Campground sign.

Individual Campsite

The fee for an individual campsite per night. Group size limit is 10 people and 2 vehicles. All standard camping fees are 50 percent off with an eligible America the Beautiful Senior or Access Pass. Group size limit is 10 people and 2 vehicles

Water Fill and Dump Station Fee

Fee is per use to dump grey and black water tanks and to fill potable water tanks. Water filling and dump station use is intended for visitors recreating at Lake Roosevelt and not for residential use. Payments are made at pay.gov. Fees are 50 percent off with America the Beautiful Senior or Access Pass. Fees are not included in campground reservation. Campers with a campground reservation only pay the fee once per reservation. Visitors without a campground reservation pay fee per use.

Fire/Stove Policy

Fires are permitted only in the designated fire rings, and only as long as there are no burn bans or dangerous fire weather.

Regulations Overview

Maximum Stay: Camping is limited to 14 consecutive nights per campground within a 30-day period and not more than 60 total nights per calendar year anywhere within Lake Roosevelt. These limits apply to all camping activities within Lake Roosevelt. No more than two vehicles and ten people at each campsite. Check-In: 1:00 PM. Check-Out Time: Noon. Quiet Hours: From 10 pm to 6 am. This includes generators. Nighttime Closures: Campgrounds are closed to non-registered campers from 10 pm to 6am. Site Occupation: All sites MUST be occupied each night. You may not pay for these sites and leave your belongings in them without nightly occupancy. Property left unattended for 24 hours will be considered abandoned. Leave No Trace: The wheels of all vehicles and trailers must be within the designated parking space and not on the roadway or vegetation. Do not attach wires, ropes, or nails to trees or shrubs. Digging, leveling, or other alterations of the ground is not permitted.

    Several campground restrooms are wheelchair accessible. All campground roads are paved, but footpaths between campsites are unpaved and may not be wheelchair accessible. The campground amphitheater is not wheelchair accessible. Access to the amphitheater is over uneven ground with a gentle slope down to the stage.

  • RV Information

    RVs and trailers up to 50 feet long may camp at Kettle Falls. Most sites can accommodate vehicles 25 feet or longer, but length varies from site to site. Vehicles, trailers, or RVs cannot be parked on the grass or anywhere except the designated parking spot for each site. Kettle Falls Campground does not have hookups.

    Each campsite has a parking space, picnic table, and fire pit with grate. There is a boat launch (1234’) and nearby marina. Water and flush facilities are turned off during the winter and periods of extreme low water. Please check with us to be sure water is available.

    Campground roads and campsite parking spaces are paved. Campsite areas, like picnic tables and fire pits, are unpaved and may be uneven. Campsite 3 and campsite 73 are designated ADA sites. Site 3 is a pull-through site with a 49-foot maximum vehicle (RV, vehicle, and/or trailer) length. Site 73 is a back-in site with a 40-foot maximum vehicle (RV, vehicle, and/or trailer) length. Restrooms have sidewalk pathways from the road.
