Campground Overview
Lafayette Park Campground in Street Gothenburg, Nebraska features 30/50 amp electric and water hookup sites. Visitors have access to showers, restrooms, dump station, large spaces, walking trails, playground, horseshoe courts along with a Girl and Boys Scout Campground. All sites offer plenty of shade and the grounds are kept immaculate! Whether its for a night or two, we hope to see you soon!
Open April 1st to October 31st - November through March NO water - ONLY electric - open only for self-contained campers.

Area Tips
Wild Horse Golf Club - This golf course is just 1 mile North and 1/2 mile West of our Campground. The Wild Horse Golf Club is a nationally ranked 18 hole links-style course. The public access course features huge greens, wide fairways bordered by native grasses and about 60 bunkers.
Gothenburg is the Pony Express Capital of Nebraska - Stop and visit The Sam Macchette Station in Ehmen Park at Lake Avenue and 15th Street. The Station was first used as a fur trading post and ranch house along the Oregon Trail and a Pony Express Station in 1860-1861. In 1913 it was moved from the original site to the park opening as a museum in 1954. The original Midway Pony Express Station is South of Gothenburg.
Gothenburg Historical Museum - Gothenburg was a dream in 1885 of Swedish settler Olaf Bergstrom. He had dreams for the grassy plains near the Union Pacific Railroad in central Nebraska. Come and visit Gothenburg's past, the museum is at 15th Street and Avenue F.
Tour Historic Homes, Church, Library and Sun Theatre - Swedes and Germans settled in the 1800's. On a Hot summer evening see a movie at our Historic Sun Theatre on Friday, Saturday or Sunday.

We have a Sod House Museum, Swedish Crosses Cemetery, Lake Helen, Veterans Memorial, Kayaking, canoeing and fish at Lake Helen (you need a Ne. Fishing Licence), Lincoln Highway (the highway that went coast to coast), Rodeo July 3rd and 4th, the 3rd weekend in August we have a Livin' Out Loud Concert, mid June through September Farmers Market, nightly ball games, swimming pool, YMCA, tennis courts, horseshoe courts and walking trails.
Stay with us and visit North Platte just 36 miles West. North Platte has the largest Railroad Yard in the World, The Union Pacific, The Golden Spike, Buffalo Bill's Ranch, Depot Museum, Antique Shops, Lincoln Historical Museum, War Memorial, In June Nebraskaland Days and Rodeo's, Pal's Brewing Company Handcraft Beer, Great Beer for the Great Plains, Feather River Winery and Vineyards.

Pet Policy
Pets welcome. The owner must keep pets on a leash at all times and clean up after your pet. You must take your pet with you or put him inside your camper/coach. You can't leave them outside. If your pet needs to be put on a chain or is a danger to other campers they will have to stay in your camper.
