Seawall Campground is located on the west side of Mount Desert Island about 4 miles (6 km) south of Southwest Harbor. The campground is approximately 18 miles from Bar Harbor. All sites at Seawall are within a short walking distance of the coastline.
Seawall Campground is open seasonally, typically from the Wednesday before Memorial Day to Columbus Day. The ranger station is generally open from 9 am to 8 pm during peak season, but hours are subject to change depending on staffing levels.

From Boston, take I-95 north to Augusta, Maine, then Route 3 east to Ellsworth and on to Mount Desert Island. For an alternate route, continue on I-95 north to Bangor, Maine, then take Route 1A east to Ellsworth. In Ellsworth, take Route 3 to Mount Desert Island. At first traffic light on Mount Desert Island, bear right onto Route 102. Stay on 102 for approximately 11.5 miles. You will pass through Somesville and the town of Southwest Harbor. Maximum vehicle length is due to the tight turning radius of the A-Loop road and the difficulty of staying on the pavement when entering and exiting the back-in campsites. If you bring equipment exceeding the maximum limit, you may be turned away upon arrival. Please help us protect the vegetation around the campsites by respecting the maximum limits.

This campground has the following accessible sites: 3 RV, 35-foot (10.7 m) maximum; 5 drive-in; 5 walk-in; and one group site. Use the paved road for access to the amphitheater. If staying in the group camping area, use the accessible restroom in the C loop, which is reached by a long, hard-packed ramp.
