Campground Overview

We are a family-owned campground since 1976. Tamarack Campground is located 30 miles south of Rochester. We offer a variety of RV/Tent sites and cabins that are nestled in the woods. 

Our amenities include an inground pool, food shack, a NEW 18-hole miniature golf course, a business office with Wi-Fi access, a propane station, a laundromat, golf cart rentals, and a camp store.  

Here at Tamarack Campgrounds, we are known for providing our campers with an array of activities and events that include kid’s crafts, horseshoes/mini-golf tournaments, games, live bands, Christmas in July, Halloween in August, tween night, theater screen movies in the park and holiday bonfires.

Check In

Check In Time: 3PM | Welcome Campers!!! The safety of our campers is our #1 priority, so when entering the campground there will be a security gate. You will be contacted with the gate code a week before your visit. If you have any issues, please call the store at (585) 549-0047. Once through the gate, you will need to follow the Store Signs. You will then pass the store and park along the miniature golf course. Once parked, please come into the store to check-in. The times for check-in are Tuesday-Thursday 12:00 pm-2:00 pm, Friday-Saturday 3:00 pm-9:00 pm, and Sunday 12:00 pm-2:00 pm. If you cannot check in during these times, please contact us so we can advise you of our after-hour check-in process. We thank you for choosing Tamarack Campgrounds and can't wait to meet you!

Area Tips

Tamarack Campground is nestled in the beautiful Finger lakes region of New York.  

We are just a few miles from Hemlock-Canadice State Forest, where you will find amazing trails for hiking, biking, bird watching, and taking in the wildlife and surrounding scenery.

Rules

Black Water Dumping

All black water dumping must be done at the dumping station with your trailer. State law prohibits the discharge of blackwater on the ground or stored in containers.

Golf Carts

If renting a golf cart, you must provide a valid driver’s license and sign the Golf Cart Rental Agreement. To operate a golf cart without an adult, you must be 16 years of age and have a current valid driver’s license. Children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by a licensed adult driver when operating a golf cart. No Exceptions!!! If this rule is violated, your privilege of having a golf cart in the campground will be revoked. Golf carts driven after dusk must have headlights on the front of the cart. No flashlights are allowed in place of headlights. No driving golf carts after midnight is permitted. Golf Carts must remain within Tamarack Campgrounds. Please drive in a responsible manner and follow park speed limits.

Campground Visitors

Daily visitors are FREE, except there is a charge of $5.00 per visitor for the pool. For each overnight guest, there is a $10.00 per night fee. Children under 4 are FREE. It is the responsibility of the camper to register each visitor at the camp store. All visitors must follow the campground rules.

Restrooms & Showers

To avoid accidents or injuries in the restrooms, it is mandatory that an adult accompany children under eight (8) years of age. A person that vandalizes any of the Tamarack Campgrounds Restrooms will be prosecuted. If the person is a minor, the parents will be held responsible. Please do not wash dishes in the restroom.

Playground

The playground is closed from 9:00 p.m.

Park Speed Limit

A maximum speed of 5 miles per hour throughout the campground. This includes all vehicles, golf carts, bicycles, motorcycles, or any other wheeled method of transportation.

Miniature Golf:

Children under 10 years old must be accompanied by an adult.

Campsite

It's your responsibility to keep the campsite clean. A person who vandalizes a campsite or any property within Tamarack Campgrounds will be prosecuted. If the person is a minor, the parents will be held responsible.

Trash Removal

The dumpsters are for TRASH ONLY. The following items are not considered trash: grills, furniture, mattresses, cabinets, or electronics. Please dispose of your non-trash items by taking them home and disposing of them through your own garbage service company. If you are found dumping any items that are not considered trash, you will be asked to remove the items from the dumpster.

Smoking

There is NO SMOKING in the restrooms, cabins, playgrounds, or any Tamarack buildings. Please utilize fire rings or receptacles to depose cigarettes or cigar butts. Let us keep our lawns and roads clean!!!

Swimming Pool

NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY. All swimming is at your own risk. The pool will only be open during store hours. If the pool gate is closed and locked, no swimming is allowed. For children 17 or under to swim, the 2 adults responsible for their safety and behavior must register the child at the store to receive a pool bracelet. This is MANDATORY. If your child is found in the pool without a bracelet, your child will be asked to get out of the pool and cannot return until he/she has been registered at the store and received a bracelet. Babies/Toddlers must use swim pants in the pool. Diapers are not allowed in the pool. No pets are allowed in the pool area.

Vehicles

Registered vehicles only. Limit one (1) vehicle per site. This rule is per code enforcement. Additional vehicles must park in the designated visitor parking areas. Utility trailers and boats must be placed in the visitor parking areas. Not on your site.

Bicycles

NYS requires that children under the age of 14 wear an approved helmet. This law will be enforced within the campground. No riding after dusk.

Quiet Time

Quiet Hours are 11:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. Any Camper under the age of 18 must be at their campsite (or) with an adult after 11:00 p.m. on any day.

Pets

All pets MUST be vaccinated. Proof of current vaccinations is required. No Visitors’ pets are allowed without current proof of vaccination. Pets are welcomed but are required to be always leashed, this includes walking through the campground. Pets cannot be tied outside and left unattended. All pet feces must be picked up immediately. Please do not dispense your dogs’ feces into any fire rings. Barking (excessively) or growling dogs will not be tolerated. If any pet is creating a disturbance or being a nuisance, the owner will be asked to remove the pet. No pets are allowed in the POOL area or any of the TAMARACK BUILDINGS. Maximum two (2) pets per site

Lot Rent

Seasonal Campers Rent for 2023 will be 1,600.00. Payment is due in full by April 15, 2023. There will be a $75.00 late fee that will be charged each month after April 20, 2023 until full payment is received. Seasonal rent Includes 2 adults and 2 children up to the age of 18 Electric will be turned on at your site once the $100.00 electric deposit is received, Seasonal rent is paid in full, and the enclosed rent agreement is signed and returned

Electric Charges

On April 15th, 2021. You are to Deposit $100.00 for Electric Expenses for your lot. Camp Officials will read the meters throughout the season and will provide lot renters with an updated bill that will need to be paid within 14 days of receipt. Once Balance falls below $25.00 You will be Required to deposit an additional $100.00

Winter Storage

October 15, 2022 – April 15,2023 For a seasonal that will not be returning for the 2023 season, there will be a $50.00 Monthly storage fee. If after 6 months if arrangement’s have not been made with Jamie Ricci, your Trailer will be removed off the site and placed into storage until arrangements are made to retrieve the trailer.

Spring Cleanup

Its the seasonal camper’s responsibility to clean-up their site after the winter months. ​​Please have all the spring clean-up completed by Memorial Day Weekend.

Campfires

All fires are to be contained within the fire ring. Fires should be no higher than 3 feet. No fires shall be left unattended and must be extinguished before retiring or leaving the campsite.

Campground Swimming Pool

NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY. All swimming is at your own risk ​​Please Sign in at the camp store a receive your wrist band ​​Pool hours are posted at the pool. If the pool gates is closed and locked, no swimming is allowed. ​​No children under 12 years old shall be allowed to use the pool unless accompanied by 2 parents or guardians over the age of 18. ​​Babies and Toddlers must use swim pants in the pool. Diapers are not allowed in the pool area.

Campground Water Usage

There is no washing of trailers, golf carts, awnings, decks etc. on weekends or holidays.
