Campground Overview

Check In

Check In Time: 3PM | When you arrive please check in at the office. If reserved online, you may check-in via the check-in link sent via email. After hours check-in please check-in online or at the kiosk near the office. All must check-in before occupying their site.

Rules

Alcohol

Alcoholic beverages must be kept in moderation and under control. Sale to or allowed consumption of alcohol by minors on premises is forbidden and will result in immediate eviction.

Boats

A boat ramp is available for your use. Guests are welcome to bring their own boat. Boat docking it first come first serve. Reserved dock space for resort owned boats. Please no tandem trailers. No Jet-Skis allowed. Life jackets are required to be worn by all children as per state law.

Fireworks

Fireworks and firearms are not permitted, regardless of your permits, this is private property and it is not allowed.

Campfires and Firewood

Campfires are allowed in designated rings only and must be attended at all times by an adult. Do NOT leave fires burning unattended. Unattended fires must be dead out – cold to touch. Fires will be banned if local area is under Fire Danger Conditions. STATE LAW PROHIBITS THE TRANSPORTATION OF FIREWOOD if acquired more than 10 miles from the place of burn. Therefore, outside wood is not allowed, it is ILLEGAL to have onsite. You may legally purchase firewood from the town of Mellen or at our camp store. Our firewood is available for $6/crate. Please do not cut, chop, deface, destroy, nail or screw to any of our trees or foliage. Any of the aforementioned are considered vandalism and will be treated as such. You may gather down and dead branches for kindling, no larger than your wrist, and nothing from standing trees. Harvesting from standing timber

Kids

Children are their parent’s responsibility, up to and including 17 years of age. Children must be aware of the rules and abide by them for their safety. Never leave children unattended at anytime, anywhere on the campground. Please express extra caution supervising your children on the docks, in the water and on the playground. These are all use at your own risk. There is no lifeguard on duty. All adult members of a specific party are responsible for the conduct and safety of the minor members of their party.

Pet Policy

Guests are allowed to bring their pets with them to the campground, maximum 2 pets per site. No pets in the sandy beach swimming area. All pets must be on a leash less than 6ft, quiet and under control– at all times. Guests MUST CLEAN UP AFTER THIER PET and never leave a pet unattended. We love pets but to ensure everyone’s safety, health and happiness we please ask you to follow the pet policy, if not, we will ask you to leave. Small/medium dogs/cats (less than 60lbs) are allowed in the cabins with prior permission and payment of the additional $30 cleaning fee, per pet, per stay. Maximum 2 pets. Dogs in the cabins must never be left alone, must be kept under control and must always be cleaned up after. SEE EXPANDED PET POLICY PAGE FOR MORE INFO

Quiet Time

QUIET HOURS are observed from 10:00pm to 8:00am. Music & your voice should not be loud or disturb neighboring guests at any time. Failure to observe this may result in immediate eviction without refund. Please respect other campers, their space and their privacy by NOT walking through their campsites.

Fishing

Fishing is allowed but please no fishing from the swimming dock. This is a public lake, therefore, you must carry proper licensing for the state of Wisconsin to fish these waters. Fish should only be cleaned in the Fish House. Remains should be placed in plastic bags and disposed of in the freezer. Fish may NOT be cleaned in the cabins or bath house. There will be a $200 cleaning charge if you clean fish in these locations. Fish are only to be brought into the cabins to directly eat or freeze. Please feel free to share your catch with us on Facebook or Instagram. No running on or diving from the docks. No one is allowed in or on the Wildwood Haven’s water craft unless rented.
