Hotel Dorica

The Hotel Dorica fit just what we wanted. We were 20 min walking to the Colosseum area and a short ride to the Vatican area. The staff was excellent, helping in every way we asked. We were very glad to have had a driver pick us up at the airport as we are not familiar with Rome and being dropped off at the hotel door was delightful. Upon a very late arrival, almost their closing time, the gentleman called a restaurant asking them to stay open to serve our group of six something to eat. There are cafes on both sides of the hotel ( no longer do they have an internal eating place) which were very reasonably priced and efficient in servicing tasty breakfast food. The rooms are small, clean, efficient and comfortable with open windows and ceiling fans. Street noise is heard but a good night sleep was gotten by us all. We visited in May so temperatures were comfortable. Every aspect of this place was a good match for us- we had three rooms placed near each other. And again, the staff was very kind and accommodating.
