As nice as the newly renovated hotel rooms are, as clean and welcoming as the overall facility is, and as professional and friendly as the staff is, none of this matters. After investing tens of millions of dollars in high-quality furnishings and accoutrements for the hotel remodel, the person in charge of procurement seems to have suffered a mental breakdown, apparently deciding to purchase used mattresses from Motel 6 to stock the rooms. Bottom line: Upon lying down, I sank into a squishy trough in the mattress, awakening several times during the night with a severe backache. After the first night, the front desk staff very kindly switched me to another room and bed type (changed from a king to a queen), but with the same result. On my last night, I seriously considered heading down to the parking garage and sleeping in my car. On any future visit to downtown Reno, I will be lodging at the Silver Legacy.

Nobody should stay here! Two days after I checked out, an extra $75 was charged to my credit card. I had been told that I had paid in full when I made the reservation, so anyone who collects undisclosed amounts like this doesn't deserve business.

It was a great place to stay if you're in downtown Reno!! Rooms at spacious and clean, bed was super comfy. Staff friendly and welcoming

This place was rough. Construction inside and all around. No food or beverages on site. The room was nice and very clean but the AC was extremely loud and there was a squeaking noise all night that was caused by the AC unit. It's in a super run down area and it didn't feel safe to have my kids there. Emergency notices kept going off telling us to evacuate the building immediately, but they were all false alarms. I heard there is a billion dollar renovation happening that might class this place up a bit, but it was waaaaaayyyy overpriced for what we got as is.
