    The hotel was beautiful. The room was really nice, especially the bathroom! The casino is very small but quaint. The staff was nice and helpful. Really enjoyed the hot tub and pool on the second floor terrace. The surrounding Springfield area is not that great. Sort of run down ... vacant buildings. We only really left the hotel/casino to have dinner next door at the Red Rose Restaurant (great Italian/pizza!). I would definitely stay here again.

    Worst experience ever. First time we had to leave a hotel and not stay the night. Room very dark, not clean, shower head was brown. Took an hour to get into parking garage, and drove around a half hour waiting for a space to open. Took another 45 minutes to get out of the garage when we left.

    For starters, the signage outside for the Hotel is non-existent. We had to ask a security person where to go. They admitted they make it hard for first time visitors. You have to park in the ramp and then walk all the way through the casino with bags. There were housekeeping staff talking loudly to each other outside our door at 7am - very inconsiderate. They also charge a 'Resort Fee'. The pool was closed and so were several restaurants. I would hardly consider the place a resort.
