This long-time Village classic receives accolades for showcasing well-executed Italian cuisine using only the freshest sourced products from both local, and distant purveyors. Pastas are the star of the show however, and are best showcased in Autumn and Winter, when dense and complex sauces can most easily be widely featured and fully enjoyed. A flavorful gargenelli with black truffle pesto and spaghettoni with lobster are menu highlights, but so too is the orecchiette with lamb ragu; or the splendid Australian rack of lamb, or grilled whole branzino. It is a formidable list of favorites. The pasta-tasting menus are worth their weight in calories and there are weekly specialty menus which pair ever so well with the high-quality wines.
