This 1960s roadside diner is a landmark for excellent Lexington-style pork barbecue with tangy vinegar-tomato sauce. It is routinely celebrated on best-of lists and attracts a devout following from all over for the flavorful pork smoked over oak and hickory coals. Plates are served with red slaw, french fries and crunchy hushpuppies, and portions are plentiful. Other menu options include fried shrimp, hot dogs and burgers, but the barbecue sandwich is the main attraction.
