AAA Diamond Inspector Notes
This 1870 downtown landmark was originally the location of a pharmacy, a hardware manufacturing business and wholesale drug company before being converted into The Merchant's Hotel in 1892. Past guests include Hank Williams, Patsy Cline and Roy Acuff. Evidence of its history is found everywhere inside the three-story brick structure. Original features include marble counters and Blood Medicine advertisements on the walls. Downstairs (casual) and upstairs (fine) dining differ in style and menu.
