Just off Water Street and sitting close to Signal Hill, this comfortable Italian eatery does double duty as the dining room for the Doubletree Hotel, and is also a very fine restaurant in its own right. Expect a menu of delicious house made pastas, authentic pizza, salads with local ingredients, and a handful of nightly specials. If traveling with children, the layout of the restaurant allows for ease of movement with a stroller, while slightly older kids will be fascinated with the range of great vessels which pass by the window. There is a children's menu, and the restaurant is well-versed in handling large groups and families. Service is a cut above the rest.
