Overview
Ancient Aptera –Olive oil factory –Georgioupoli Village –Kourna Lake. Discover ancient paths and hidden churches and enjoy the breathtaking views of the “Lefka Ori” At the archaeological site of Aptera, you will be able to admire findings of all periods of inhabitation of this City-State. Then we will descend to Vrisses, a green village with many springs, where we will visit an olive oil factory. The next station is Georgioupolis. A coastal village surrounded with eucalyptus trees and sandy beaches. It is worth seeing the river Almyros in a very scenic environment, where you can enjoy your coffee. We will visit Kournas Lake, where you will admire the unique flora and fauna and the marvelous landscape. Also, small boats can take you for a tour. A few taverns with delicious dishes including fish from the lake are available. The last destination is the famous springs of Argyroupoli, which accept the most visitors. The water mills have now become taverns serving traditional dishes.
