Overview
Explore the REAL backcountry of Bitterroot Mountains in the Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness! Plan an unforgettable hike with a professional guide before you go, then set off on your adventure with your guide! We provide top notch gear! All essential hiking rental gear included in pricing including backpacks, trekking poles, bear spray, ect. Along the way, you will learn about the ecology of the Bitterroot, identifying plants animals as you go. Join a hike in July and August for Huckleberry picking! You'll also learn about the local geology and identify a few rocks and minerals too. Delicious snack options like trail mix, beef jerky (vegan available too!), fig bars, fruit leather, and chocolate cookies included! Your guide will also carry a water filter, first aid, Garmin GPS communicator, and other basic necessities like toiletries for an outing in the backcountry. They are wilderness first responder certified, leave no trace certified, and food handler certified.

- Must be able to hike 6 - 8 mi, up 2000 ft. No mountain climbing involved.
- Must be able to climb over downed trees at waist height and step across creeks on stones that may not be stable.
