Overview
This guided hike is an excellent opportunity to explore one of the most intense and biodiverse areas of the reserve along the Heart of the Forest trail. Accompanied by a specialized naturalist guide, you will discover a unique ecosystem considered by researchers as a true natural laboratory full of extraordinary biodiversity. During the tour, your guide will share fascinating information about the cloud forest and help you observe iconic species such as the Emerald Tucancillo, the majestic Shining Quetzal and hopefully spider monkeys, as well as enjoy breathtaking views of the Monteverde Mountains. Monteverde Cloud Forest Biological Reserve protects more than 5,000 hectares of tropical forest, including primary and secondary forest areas. This natural sanctuary is home to many unique species that you can discover during a guided tour with an expert naturalist guide.
