On this tour, you will visit two of the most iconic monasteries – The Great Meteoron and Agios Stefanos The largest and oldest monastery in Meteora, founded in the 14th century. Explore its beautiful church adorned with frescoes, the museum with religious relics and manuscripts, and walk through its serene courtyards with panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. The most accessible of all the Meteora monasteries, Agios Stefanos offers magnificent views over the valley and houses an impressive chapel and museum. Still active and run by nuns, it reflects the peace and devotion of monastic life. Stroll through this charming town at the base of the Meteora rocks. Visit local shops for souvenirs, enjoy a coffee in the central square, or simply take in the dramatic views of the towering cliffs above.
