Birmingham Zoo

Birmingham Zoo, 2630 Cahaba Rd. in Lane Park, is one of the South's largest zoos. Birds, reptiles and mammals from around the world dwell in simulated natural settings. Visitors can feed giraffes at the Kiwanis Giraffe Encounter or watch the African bull elephant herd roam the Trails of Africa. A children's zoo and a predator display are featured along with daily interactive programs. A train and carousel also are available.
