Gilbert Historical Museum, 10 S. Gilbert Rd., relates the history of the town. Housed in a 1913 school building, the museum has nine themed galleries. Highlights include a model train exhibit, a collection of military uniforms and a courtyard with antique farm and firefighting equipment. The museum also hosts quilting bees and an annual quilting show March through May.
Guided tours are available. Picnicking is permitted. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
