AAA Editor Notes
Castle Farms is 2 mi. e. of US 31 at 5052 SR 66. The castle, modeled after castles in Normandy, France, was built in 1918 by Albert Loeb, acting president of Sears, Roebuck & Co., and showcased innovative farm equipment in the Sears catalog. After a 12-minute film about the history and restoration, visitors set off on their own to explore the castle and gardens. A hedge maze, metal dragon, fish and duck pond, historical collections, a World War II museum and Michigan's largest outdoor model railroad (open late spring through fall, weather permitting) are on the grounds. Tram rides also are available.

Guided tours are available. Picnicking is permitted.
