Webster County Historical Museum is at 721 W. Fourth Ave. The museum chronicles the history of Webster County since 1870 and includes an extensive genealogy collection. Exhibits housed in a 1909 Classical Revival-style mansion include Victorian furniture, household and church items, photographs, guns, toys and military memorabilia. A separate building houses fire department equipment, tractors, buggies and other vehicles.
Another exhibit building contains Creating the Plains Community, focusing on how government policies and railroads influenced the settling of the Plains states.
