Shaar Hashomayim Synagogue

Shaar Hashomayim Synagogue (Synagogue de Shaar Hashomayim), 450 Kensington Ave. (M: Atwater), dates from 1846 and is the second oldest synagogue in Canada. The size of the congregation, more than 1,600 families, and the 2,000-person seating capacity of the sanctuary make this among the largest synagogues in the country.
