Berea

A mile from the Berea exits off I-75 is a liberal arts college where students receive a tuition-free education in return for work in the school's 130 departments. Founded in 1855, Berea College only accepts students who need financial aid. Guided tours of the campus and a tour that provides an overview of the crafts program depart regularly from the Visitor Center at College Square, Center and Short streets; phone (859) 985-3018.

The Kentucky Guild of Artists and Craftsmen's Fair is held the second weekend in October; phone (859) 986-3192 for more information.
