Along with its more glamorous reputation as a wine-producing center, McMinnville is the home of Linfield College, established in 1858. Points of interest on the 193-acre campus include the Linfield Gallery, a theater and a library. Fort Yamhill Blockhouse, dating from 1855, is in nearby Dayton.
