Whether you’re grabbing a regular morning caffeine fix or fueling a late-night study session, Bennu Coffee has you covered with two locations open 24 hours, offering free Wi-Fi, lots of laptop space, and of course, delicious coffee. French press offerings feature a rotating variety of locally sourced, organic beans, or choose from an extensive menu of flavor options for a customized espresso drink. The beverage menu also features gourmet mochas and the cold brew that inspired the popular Chameleon Cold Brew. Sample a pastry or order from the locally sourced breakfast, lunch or dinner menu.

It’s all about the coffee at this establishment, which has seven other locations around the city, each with a unique atmosphere. Tastings and other events offer opportunities for customers to learn more about specialty coffees. Sip an espresso or the locally sourced daily house coffee, or try one of the single origin whole-bean coffees available for purchase.
Cenote

Billing itself as “part coffeehouse, part wine bar, part tap room,” Cenote goes well beyond coffee while maintaining an emphasis on organic and locally sourced beverages and a food menu featuring ingredients from Texas farms. The Cesar Chavez location is in a charming historic house where you can snag a seat on an antique sofa or at one of the umbrella tables outside.
Jo’s Coffee
1300 S. Congress Ave.
The little green building on South Congress has been serving up hot coffee, breakfast tacos and sandwiches for nearly two decades, but in recent years its also become known for the outer wall facing James Street, where local musician Amy Cook spray-painted “i love you so much.” You may feel the same about the Turbo—the café’s signature concoction of coffee and cream with chocolate and hazelnut syrup over ice. Jo’s also serves up its custom blend at locations downtown and on the UT campus.
Wright Bros. Brew & Brew
500 San Marcos St., No. 105
True to its name, Wright Bros. Brew & Brew devotes equal attention to two kinds of brews: coffee and beer. The full espresso bar features beans from local roasters and others around the country, and all syrups are made in-house. On the beer side, 39 taps offer an ever-changing selection of craft beers and ciders, focusing on local brewers. Wright Bros. honors local purveyors on the food menu as well, with breakfast tacos, bagels, croissants, sandwiches and pastries, but if you wander in with something from a local food truck, they’re okay with that, too.
