How to Get There
Flower Market Road is located in Mongkok. By public transportation, take the MTR to Prince Edward Station (exit B1) and walk east, or to Mong Kok East Station (exit C1) and walk along the footbridge. A number of buses also stop nearby, including buses 1, 2C, 3C, 6D, 24, 27, 42, 87D, 95, 104, 113, 203, and 281A.
When to Get There
Different shops and stalls along Flower Market Road have different opening hours, but most tend to be open daily, with the exception of the first day of Chinese New Year. Find the best selection in the morning, right after shops take in their deliveries. The most festive time to visit is the week before Chinese New Year, when locals buy elaborate arrangements for good luck.
Yuen Po Street Bird Garden
Just down the street from Flower Market Road is the Yuen Po Street Bird Garden, where you can find over 70 stalls selling all types of birds, bird feed, and accessories. Visitors often combine a trip to the Hong Kong Flower Market with a stop at the Yuen Po Street Bird Garden.
