How to Get There
Located in Madrid’s Barrio de La Latina, La Cueva de Lola is easiest to reach by metro. Take the 5 train to the Puerta de Toledo stop, or the 1 train to Tirso de Molina. You’ll find the venue next to St. Andrew’s Church (Iglesia de San Andrés Apóstol), at Calle de los Mancebos 2.
When to Get There
La Cueva de Lola typically stages one show nightly on Tuesday and Wednesday, and two shows nightly Thursday through Sunday. Weekend shows are most popular, as are performances in July and August, Madrid’s peak tourist season. It’s often easier to get tickets to a show that’s earlier in the week.
Exploring Barrio de La Latina
La Cueva de Lola happens to be in one of the best neighborhoods to discover on foot: La Latina. Stop by the Gate of Toledo (Puerta de Toledo), built under the Napoleonic government in the early 18th century. Then grab a snack at the Mercado de la Cebada, a colorful marketplace packed with food and produce vendors. End your day with a stroll along Calle Cava Baja, where you’ll find numerous lively tapas restaurants.
