François and Charlitte LeBlanc were among a group of deported Acadian settlers who arrived in Bouctouche in 1785. The Mi'kmaq Indians referred to the area as “Chebooktoosk,” or “big little harbor.” Bouctouche was the birthplace of industrialist K.C.
