AAA Editor Notes
Marshall Park is at 7th Ave. W. and W. Highland Dr., 5 blks. w. of Kerry Park. Even smaller than Kerry Park, this tiny little grassy oasis has a few benches, a cherry tree and a delightful view overlooking Salmon Bay (part of Puget Sound) and the Olympic Mountains, with the Magnolia Bluff neighborhood farther in the distance. Works by Pacific Northwest artists are cast in the sidewalk.

Across the street is Parsons Gardens; the Reginald H. Parsons family garden was bequeathed to the city by his children in 1956. A paved path encircles a manicured green lawn planted with flowering trees, rhododendrons and perennials. This shady little hideaway is an absolutely lovely spot for a picnic.

Residential street parking is available. Picnicking is permitted in Parsons Gardens.

Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.
