Summerside
Summerside boasts neat residential streets lined with stately wood-frame houses that resemble châteaus. Murals on various buildings depict the town’s history, including a 400-square-foot mural at Fire Hall, 248 Fitzroy St., portraying the Great Fire of 1906. Its public wharf serves the large ocean-going vessels that carry Prince Edward Island potatoes to ports worldwide.
Summerside marks the beginning of the North Cape Coastal Drive, a 300-kilometre (186-mi.) scenic drive linking the communities of western Prince Edward Island. The drive shows off the most rugged portion of the island’s coastline, including red sandstone cliffs at the island's northern tip as well as the picturesque fishing villages and farm communities along the way.

Spinnakers Landing, on the waterfront at 150 Heather Moyse Dr., features several shops, boutiques, entertainment and eateries. Also on the waterfront are Waterfront Place, 98 Water St. and Summerside Mall, 454 Granville St. County Fair Mall is nearby at 475 Granville St.
