In Ste-Catherine-de-Hatley the Île-du-Marais Nature Trail is reached by a causeway into lac Magog. The trail offers a self-guiding hike around the island April through October. More than 226 species of birds use the island as a nesting ground.

Hop on the Orford Express Tourist Train for a ride that takes in the beautiful scenery between Sherbrooke, Magog's Merry Point and Eastman and includes a gourmet meal and live entertainment; trips depart from the MacPherson Pier in Merry Point Park from May through December.
