Icon Park is an entertainment complex located on one of Orlando's main drags—International Drive—commonly known as I-Drive. Opened in 2015, Icon Park (formerly known as I-Drive 360 and Icon Orlando 360 is home to a variety of restaurants, shops, and attractions—including an aquarium, Madame Tussauds, and a 400-foot-tall (122-meter observation wheel, appropriately named The Wheel—which is the centerpiece of the park.

The basics

In order to enjoy Icon Park’s main attractions—including the massive observation wheel—you can opt for a 3-attraction pass; which includes access to the Sea Life Orlando Aquarium, Madame Tussauds, and The Wheel. Separate tickets to the attractions are also available. Other notable sights include an arcade, the 7D Dark Ride Adventure, and Orlando StarFlyer—the world’s tallest swing ride. Plus, you'll find popular eateries like Shake Shack and Outback Steakhouse, as well as lively nightlife options such as nightly flamenco shows at Tapa Toro.

Things to know before you go

  • A ride on The Wheel lasts about 23 minutes; each capsule holds up to 15 people.
  • Wheelchairs less than 36 inches (91 centimeters) in width are permitted on The Wheel.
  • There is no fee to get into the complex.
  • Dogs and miniature horses that meet the requirements for service animals under the Americans with Disabilities Act are allowed at the park.

How to get there

By car, take I-4 to exit 74 (Sand Lake Road). Parking is free in the on-site covered parking garage; free valet parking is also available. The park is also accessible via Orlando’s I-Ride Trolley, which runs along International Drive; the nearest stops to The Wheel are #14 on the Red Line Northbound route and stop G9 on the Green Line Southbound route.

When to get there

Icon Park is open throughout the week—usually with later opening hours at the weekend. Hours for specific restaurants and attractions may vary. Sunset is a popular time to ride The Wheel, so prepare for long lines then, especially during peak tourist seasons in the summer and winter months.

Orlando’s International Drive

Known as I-Drive for short, this major thoroughfare in Orlando is lined with restaurants, hotels, shops, boutiques, and dinner shows—as well as many of the city’s popular theme parks.
