The sites of Fort Karl, overlooking Shell Beach south of town, and Fort Gustave, at the base of the Gustavia Lighthouse to the north, reward hikers with idyllic panoramas. Fort Oscar, at the tip of Gustavia Peninsula, houses the National Police.
