With boutiques, bookstores and pottery studios lining a 1-mile stretch of Main Street, window-shopping in Chatham's town center is a delight. Puritan Cape Cod , a small area chain with locations in Falmouth, Hyannis and Mashpee, opened its first sales outlet here in 1925. Today, brand-name leisurewear and dress clothing (think Hugo Boss, Kate Spade and Sperry) draw countless spendthrifts to its 20,000-square-foot Chatham store.Quaint, tree-shaded Main Street also shelters Chatham Candy Manor , specializing in homemade fudge, and one of the state's last Ben Franklin general stores, chockablock with souvenirs, craft supplies, housewares and more.
