Newport
The Lincoln County Vietnam Commemorative Walk Memorial in Donald A. Davis Park is dedicated to war veterans. A sculpture is placed at 19 degrees northeast to cast its shadow across the granite each April 30th, a reminder of the day the Vietnam War ended.

Newport's location at the entrance of Yaquina Bay has made fishing an important industry. Clamming, crabbing and fishing are popular recreational pursuits; charter and rental boats are available.
The Newport Seafood and Wine Festival takes place each year on the last full weekend of February. Thousands of visitors from around the world flock to the South Beach Marina parking lot just south of downtown Newport to dine and drink with a view of the sea. A number of nearby day-use areas and campgrounds are scattered along US 101, a scenic highway that bisects Newport and extends along the entire Oregon coast.
