Rochester
The Mayo Clinic campus occupies approximately 13 million square feet—more than two times the size of another sprawling complex, the Mall of America in Minneapolis. Numerous campus buildings are connected by an extensive network of skyways and subways. Guided tours are restricted to patients and their guests.
The names of more than 2,000 veterans who sacrificed their lives are carved on the Wall of Remembrance at Soldiers Field Veterans Memorial, 3rd Ave. and 7th St. S.W. The memorial features etched granite walls portraying battle scenes from the Civil War to the Persian Gulf War.
