Nashua
Mine Falls Park, a green retreat in the heart of downtown, has forest and wetland habitats where visitors hike, bike and fish during the summer and go cross-country skiing in winter. The Nashua Canal Trail follows a 3-mile-long canal, dug by hand in the 1880s, through a lush wooded setting along the Nashua River. The park has several access points; take US 3 (Everett Turnpike) to exit 5W (SR 111/W. Hollis Street); proceed west to Riverside Street and follow signs to the parking areas.
